Responsible AI Standards
AI can help professionals work faster, but IORTI is built around a clear standard: AI-assisted materials should be treated as drafts or decision-support until reviewed by a qualified human.
- Use trusted sources and check original references.
- Review AI-assisted outputs before public or operational use.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Document source support, uncertainty, and review status.
- Use clear decision rules for when AI should not be used.
Why It Matters for Iowa
Opioid-abatement work depends on timely, accurate, accessible information. Iowa professionals need practical ways to keep pace with emerging drug trends, adapt materials for different audiences, communicate clearly, and reduce duplicated effort without sacrificing accuracy or trust. IORTI is designed to help make responsible technology useful for real people doing real community-facing work across Iowa.
